Angie Romero, a single mom to a three-year-old son, was abandoned by her parents as a young child and raised her grandmother. She’s used to managing on her own as a waitress at the Sunny Side Up diner and keeping silly daydreams about a fashion career at bay. But when the silver-eyed Tommy starts frequenting the Sunny Side Up diner, Angie’s dreams start to take flight.

After a scary incident, Tommy instantly becomes someone on whom she can depend. And she wonders if she can pursue her dreams while helping the handsome man with sad eyes fight away his demons.
